Cycling is not a very popular sport in Pakistan but this young boy from Lahore has done something amazing in the field of cycling.
Meet Irtaza Qadeer a 20-year-old from Lahore. He is studying Journalism from the Beacon-house National University (BNU) but his passion for cycling took him to another level. Irtaza Cycled all the way from Khunjerab Pass (China Border) to Karachi. Yes, he did and all that in 14 days.
How it all started?
Well, like stated above Irtaza always had a thing for cycling from very young age and his hobby became his passion as he grew up. Last year, the young boy cycled from his hometown Lahore, to the capital Islamabad. This gave Irtaza an idea to do something big. A few months later the journalism student completed his journey from Islamabad to the hill station Murree. He knew the fact that it’s not easy to cycle on mountains but he had faith that he can do it and he did.
Cycling on the mountains on Murree gave Irtaza a huge boost to do the ultimate trip of his life. During the summer break from his university, the young chap planned to cycle all the way from China to Karachi. He started his journey from Islamabad to Khujerab Pass (China Border) in six days. He came back to Islamabad by bus and then kicked off his journey to Karachi and completed it in eight days. Irtaza is now planning to visit different countries on a cycle.
We wish this young lad the very best of luck in his future. We hope he will make his country proud.
